5.0/10

I had an overall mixed experience at Hotel Reina Petronila. The room was spacious and clean, which I really appreciated, but the service left a lot to be desired. I expected a more vibrant atmosphere, but the hotel felt almost deserted, and the staff could have been more welcoming. While the location next to a shopping mall was convenient, it’s quite a trek to the main tourist attractions.

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious and clean, featuring a comfortable bed with all the necessary amenities. However, I noticed some outdated features that could use improvement. The mirrors in the room felt excessive for my taste.
Service
5.0
The service was underwhelming, as I encountered unhelpful staff at check-in who didn’t offer much information about Zaragoza. I felt that the staff could benefit from training to enhance their interaction with guests.
Location
6.0
The hotel is situated next to a shopping mall, which is really practical. However, it's about a 35-minute walk to the Old Town, so it's not ideal for those wanting easy access to tourist sites.
Dining
5.0
I found the dining options limited. While breakfast had good choices, on some occasions, items were running out, which was disappointing. There’s also a lack of nearby dining options, pushing guests to rely on the hotel.
Facilities
7.0
The rooftop pool and spa facilities were nice, but I wouldn't say they were excellent for a so-called 5-star hotel. They could definitely use some renovation and better maintenance.

6.0/10

My stay at Hotel Reina Petronila was a mix of highs and lows. The breakfast was really good, which I keep raving about, but the overall service was lacking at times. The room was spacious and clean, although some amenities could use an update. The location is fantastic for shopping, but it's a bit distant from the historical heart of Zaragoza. Overall, I’d rate it a solid experience, but there's room for improvement.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and nicely designed, providing a comfortable place to rest. The modern layout and cleanliness stood out to me, although I found the mattress to be a bit firm for my liking.
Service
6.0
While I did receive some friendly assistance from the staff, the overall service fell short in terms of greeting guests and offering help when needed, particularly upon arrival.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location next to Aragonia Shopping Center was very convenient for dining and shopping. However, it is quite far from the historical center of Zaragoza, which made exploring the city's culture a bit tricky.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast buffet was a highlight; I loved the variety including fresh fruits and made-to-order eggs. However, I found other dining options in the hotel to be quite limited and not very satisfying.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered some great facilities like a gym and a nice pool area, but I didn’t get a chance to use them all. I also felt that the spa area could use some renovations to improve the experience.

7.2/10

My stay at Hotel Reina Petronila was a mix of positives and negatives. The location near the Aragonia Shopping Center is convenient for dining and shopping. However, I was puzzled about the hotel's 5-star rating, given the run-down appearance and lack of certain amenities like a functioning jacuzzi. The breakfast was a standout, and I appreciated the friendly staff. 😌

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and clean, but I found the open-plan bathroom layout lacking privacy. The decor felt a bit outdated, and I had to spend time figuring out the lighting system, which added a bit of frustration to my stay.
Service
7.0
Service was generally helpful and friendly, with staff offering assistance when needed, though information about local attractions could have been more thorough.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location next to a shopping center made it easy to navigate Zaragoza, but I felt it was somewhat far from the city center. It was convenient to access public transport, but I would have preferred to be closer to the main attractions.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast was excellent, featuring a variety of fresh and local products. However, I found the lunch and dinner options lacking in variety and not up to the 5-star standard I expected.
Facilities
5.0
While the cleanliness and overall maintenance were commendable, the spa facilities left much to be desired, particularly with the jacuzzi out of order during my stay. The pool could also use some improvements.
